 About Us

Virginia Carolina Road Chapter, NSDAR in Franklin County, Virginia, is a group of busy and caring women who work to support education, historic preservation, and patriotism in Franklin County and in our state and nation.

Some of Our Interests Include:

Preservation of historical documents and places

Preserving the Environment

Service to Veterans and current Military

Respecting the Flag of the United States and teaching others how to do so

Spreading information about all American History, but especially the American Revolution period.

Addressing issues affecting all women

Remembering past sacrifices

Current and Recent Projects:

Constitution Week Activities

Essay contests in Elementary and High Schools and sponsoring a medal to  the outstanding JROTC cadet.

Support for the local Free Clinic

Contribution to the local historical society

Gifts throughout the year to elderly women veterans in the Salem facility.

Helping out at the traveling Vietnam Wall

Honoring graves of veterans
